Based on true events, Oddball tells the story of a dog who is bad at herding sheep but seems to be incredible at protecting penguins. Good thing, because on an island just off the coast, a penguin sanctuary is having a serious problem. When foxes start eating the penguins, the sanctuary needs help, and they are holding out for a hero ’til the end of the night. He’s gotta be strong, fast and fresh from the fight. Enter: Oddball the dog. Like a white knight on a fiery steed, Oddball, who is mostly known in town for destroying everything in his path, comes to the penguins’ rescue, chasing away foxes and helping save their home. When Swampy, Oddball’s owner and the father of the sanctuary's wildlife ranger, bands together with his daughter and granddaughter to save the penguins’ home, nothing can stop them. Except maybe Oddy’s penchant for destroying the town’s restaurants. Fun for the whole family, Oddball will make you believe in the power of paws … and penguins. – Cleveland International Film Festival
