Volunteering for the Scottsdale International Film Festival is fun, a great way to meet like-minded people AND a sure fire way to enjoy great film from around the World for free. If you are willing to commit your time to the Festival we are willing to offer you various opportunities. You may invest as little as 4 hours or many weeks of work. Of course, we will compensate you fairly with passes or tickets commensurate with the level of your assistance.

We are seeking volunteers in the following areas:

Team Supervisor  This position is filled. (07/08)

Theater Staff –

Tasks include ticket tearing and handing out program guides. Shifts run in four hour increments depending upon the film schedule. All volunteers receive T-shirts and one free Festival movie ticket for each completed shift. (Opening Night tickets do not qualify for comps.)

Please indicate the dates and blocks of time in which you prefer to work and your T-shirt size. The following times are approximate until September when the film schedule is completed.

Hospitality Coordinator –  

This position involves a kid gloves approach to arranging the transportation and stay for all visiting talent. The Coordinator makes travel arrangements for visiting actors including, limo arrangements on both ends, hotel reservations, and coordinates with any designated PR firms to confirm arrangements. The Coordinator will also work with the Transportation Coordinator for in town transportation of Directors from the airport to hotel, hotel to theatres, and all returns. The Hospitality Coordinator is likely to assist guests personally while they are in town and will work closely with the Executive Director.  The Coordinator receives a Full-Festival pass.  Please reply to ScottsdaleIFF@aol.com with your phone number and email address. Transportation Coordinator –

One volunteer is required to arrange for and facilitate the pick up of visiting guests from airports, hotels and theatres. We expect two to four Directors to visit and they will need a ride from the airport to the hotel and theatre. They will also require a ride back to the airport to catch return flights. Driver(s) must have proof of insurance, a clean/reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. Video Projectionist – 

Some of the programming for the Festival is on video and therefore requires volunteers who are comfortable running a video projector and sound board. (At this time we do not have any idea of the schedule for projection.) As a projectionist volunteer you will receive a Full-Festival pass.
