The Scottsdale International Film Festival will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Daytime programming will include screenings of animated short films for children and documentaries. The Film Festival will host an opening celebration complete with live music, food and cocktails, followed by the opening night screening of “Denial,” the dramatic story about a vital battle for historical truth starring Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz, in the Center’s Virginia G. Piper Theater. True-life heroine of the film, Deborah E. Lipstadt, will join for a live Skype discussion after the screening.
